Cleaning your CPAP supplies is crucial for maintaining good health and avoiding respiratory infections.1 The CPAP machine uses a mask to deliver air pressure and keeps your airways open while you sleep. Over time, dust, dirt, oils, and bacteria can build up on the mask, tubing, filter, and humidifier chamber. Dirty CPAP supplies not only compromise the machine's effectiveness but also increase vulnerability to respiratory infections or other health issues.2 The tubing and humidifier chamber, which are damp environments, provide a thriving ground for bacteria and viruses.3
